A speck of neophrene in the center of this shot, is Kane
He has this point break to himself. Him and a quarter mile of
kelp beneath him, smoothing out the reef.

Capitola in January 2009

Capitola hosted a junior high contest with Kane's friend Colton in the mix.

Kane free surfed in the same heats and kept him company on this Saturday. Colton's dad is a pro photographer and it shows in these shots.

This is a 5'10" Wave Riding Vehicle from Virginia Beach, I bought new in the summer of 1971 when I was a senior in high school. 130 dollars, it was white as snow when I bought it.

No leash does it justice. Kane makes me proud every time I see him take off.
